How To Save Electricity in Ceiling Fan

Make sure that the leaves of the fan are at a distance of at least 1 meter from the ceiling while fixing it. Examine weather the leaves are attached at the correct slanting.
  • Use high quality electronic regulators instead of the ordinary ones.
  • Changing the fan speed occasionally will cause more consumption of electricity.
  • Its better to use exhaust fans in rooms having greater heights.
  • The motor will have more load if the weight of the fan is great thereby causing a damage.
  • Buying low cost fans for less profit can cause a lot of loss. Consider the cost of a 60 watt fan to be Rs.1050. If used it for 365 days daily for 10 hours, it uses 219 units of electricity.

The current charge for one year if estimated Rs.3 for 1 unit is Rs.657. Consider that you had bought a fan with 110 watt. Then it will cost only half of it.ie.Rs.500. Can you estimate the loss caused by this fan.

This fan will use about 401 units for 365 days. The amount you have to pay for one year is Rs.1203. Then the difference is Rs.366.

A profit of Rs.1830 can be made in a house having five such fans within one year.
